Message from the Chairman

Assalam u Alaikum,

As you may be aware, members of the MINAB met for the Annual General Meeting on Saturday 30th June in Leicester at which a new Executive Board was elected.

The MINAB’s new Executive Board will be managed by the newly elected Board of Trustees, which consists of:
Imam Qari Asim (Chairman)
Sayed Mohsen Al-Khoei (Secretary)
Ali Albatati (Treasurer)
Moin Azmi (Vice Chair)
Ms Aksa Khan (Vice Chair)
Dr. Syed Abbas Naqvi (Vice Chair)
Pir Muhammad Imran Abdali (Vice Chair)

The relaunch of the MINAB and election of a fresh Board represents a renewed commitment by the MINAB to strive towards the fulfilment of its five standards which aim to facilitate the spread of good practice amongst its members.

Our core objectives include ensuring that Mosques are safe and well-governed, services are provided by suitable qualified personnel and are engaging with our youth, women and society at large.

We are looking forward to working with Mosques and training institutions across the country and engaging in open and meaningful conversations with a diverse spectrum of British Muslims in order to raise standards and facilitate community cohesion.

To this end, we will be in contact as and when relevant issues arise, but also respectfully request that you do not hesitate to contact us in the meantime in the event that we can be of any assistance to your organisation, or should a matter arise which you think would benefit from our input or of which we ought to be aware.

We look forward to working with you in the coming weeks and months.

May Allah Almighty bless you and protect you.

Yours truly,

Imam Qari Asim MBE
