Mosques in the UK are undeniably part of the landscape of many localities. However, it can be challenging to reach out local communities. By local community, we mean:
- the Muslim Community
- the wide local Community
The many initiatives taken locally by small organisations as well as nationally; the “Visit My Mosque” day is only one example; the evolution of the Muslim Community in the UK shows a great will to be more openly part of our Society.
This is offering a great opportunity to Mosques to achieve their aim to become a support point for their local communities.
MINAB has gathered a range of panelists to discuss the effective ways mosques leaders can reach out their local communities.
