Welcoming most warmly the advent of the new government, Maulana Shahid Raza OBE, Chairman of the MINAB said:

"As an organisation committed to community cohesion and good governance, the six hundred plus members (Mosques and Imam Training Institutions) of MINAB are delighted that the leaders of our country have shown great political acumen and commitment to the common good by joining together in forming a government that aspires to deliver stability and prosperity underpinned by a programme of good, transparent and inclusive governance.

MINAB congratulates the new Prime Minister David Cameron for his statesmanship in bringing about a coalition to serve the national interest. It is the beginning of a new and much needed chapter in the politics of our country. The new government is warmly welcomed to office. MINAB remains fully supportive of the agenda of creating better understanding, promoting harmony and ensuring peace amongst all citizens of our great country. MINAB looks forward to working with the government on issues that are within its remit."
