The Mosques & Imams National Advisory Board calls on mosques to remember the genocide of Bosnian Muslims by holding a special prayer during Friday sermon on the 10th of July. DOWNLOAD HERE
Over 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys were massacred in July 1995, and between 20,000-50,000 women were raped. Thousands of women, children, and elderly people were forcibly deported from their homes because of their faith.
A Friday prayer and sermon is available to pray for the victims and raise awareness about the Srebrenica Genocide, and the consequences of hatred and intolerance.
In addition, we encourage mosques to hold special Srebrenica events during the Memorial week from 5th – 12th July, inviting people of all faiths and none, in a display of unity that will send a strong message to those who preach hatred and division.
