Why become member ?

Becoming a member of MINAB is taking actions for the improvement of our Institutions; MINAB is an umbrella organisation which aims to protect and support Muslim institutions in the UK. When becoming a member, your institution will be offered:

  • A variety of resources to raise the standing of your institution.
  • Assistance in matter of governance.
  • Support in spreading best practice through the development of standards.
  • Access to MINAB’s resources and/or make better use of resources for achievements of standards.
  • Advice on the suitability of Imams and scholar coming to the UK from abroad.
  •  Access to MINAB events, either free or at a discounted rate.

 

Who can become a member?

MINAB is an umbrella organisation. Any of the following can choose to become a member.

  • A Mosque
  • A Islamic Centre
  • An institution or establishment that provides vocational training that leads to accreditation or a certificate of diploma or degree as Imam.
  • An institution or educational establishment, which provides academic training/courses leading to qualification as Islamic Teacher.

 

How can your Institution become a member?

All members of the MINAB must subscribe to its aims and adhere to the principles set out in the constitution. By joining the MINAB, members agree to work towards meeting the Standards. Members will self regulate on these set of Standards and will be offered support until they receive their accreditation. This approach provides an opportunity to build capacity within the Muslim Communities and empowers them to share their learning and good practice.

Fees

The fees are setup according to the size and the services that your organisation is set up to provide.

 

A charge of £25 will apply if your organisation is:

  • A Mosque or Islamic Centre, which provides regular and facilities for prayers five times a day and Jumah midday prayers.
  • An institution or establishment that provides vocational training that leads to accreditation or a certificate of diploma or degree as Imam.
  • An institution or educational establishment, which provides academic training/courses leading to qualification as Islamic Teacher.

 

A charge of £50 will apply if your organisation is:

  • A Mosque or Islamic Centre, which in addition to providing facilities for prayers, also provides any other service or services such as Islamic teaching, funeral service, marriage registration, circumcision and activities that facilitate community cohesion may qualify for membership as Mosque or Islamic Centre with extended services.
