#MosquesLeadership 2020 Workshop & Conference – BIRMINGHAM

£5MINAB Mosques Leadership 2020 Programme is now coming to Birmingham.
MINAB, partnering with Strengthening Faith Institutions (SFI), launched the Mosques Leadership 2020 programme that focuses on issues relating to safeguarding, good governance, leadership, the role of trustees, and building digital capacity in Mosques, Madrasas and Islamic Centres.
The first session of the MINAB Mosques Leadership 2020 programme: Safeguarding Workshop & Conference was held in Manchester .
Upon the demand & request of our member Mosques &Islamic Centres the second session of this programme will be held in Birmingham on the 21st of March
This programme is designed for those who aspire to be sector leaders in the 2020s and who want to take a considered and inclusive approach. You might be an emerging leader, a manager in charge of a team, or on the Mosque committee who have a leadership or strategic role in Mosques, Madrasas and Islamic Centres.
The interactive sessions in this workshop conference will allow the participants to do the critical review of their own Mosques and Islamic centres. The programme will also familiarise participants with:
- Current policies to ensure institutions are familiar with governance standards
- Responsibilities of the trustees for Good Governance in Mosques and Islamic Centres
- Complying with regulatory obligations & best practice
- Strengthening Safeguarding policies and practices for children
- Identifying and preventing sexual harassment
- Abuse within Madrasah context
- Understanding Whistleblowing policies and procedures
- Digitalising Mosques with online tools and technological innovations
This event aims to enhance the capacity and competencies to enable our institutions to be run more effectively and to manage risks in and around the Mosques, Madrasas and Islamic Centres.
